Made me think if i really should review my anatomy. Oh to pick up the pencil once more… I miss drawing.

Too depressed to sleep. Stuff in my head.

Regarding the first image, the way I draw the hip area and legs in general is pretty exaggerated, I remove a lot of muscle and curve the bones. The left of each set is more correct if you’re aiming to be more realistic.

The second image is just how I personally stretch legs into different body types. The third is one of my most generic poses and some feet. I approach the bottoms of the feet the same way I do hands and I make toes by just overlapping the little circles. The fourth image features some attempts at different positions I don’t show as much, an area I still have to work on myself.

I’ve still yet to recover from my recent lethargy, so this was all I could think to do… but I hope this is of at least some use! Sorry! :(

A Formula for Amnesia

This loop of what was five hours ago.

Of five days, five weeks, five years ago.

*

If and would belong to fiction.

Yet this essay considers them—

A burrowing need for self-redemption.

**

Selective amnesia.

Words written down lose their place in memory.

Moved forever

to scribbles of ink on sheets of paper.

What is left to remember?

***

Remember the future.

****

Five years, five weeks, five days

Five hours, five minutes, five seconds ago

Words failed to move

Thus, they were deemed necessary:

The if’s,

The would’s.

*****

This loop.

Dear Letter Sender

I have read your letter.

About twenty-two times.

At every comma I wonder

at every phrase, every line—

Varying voices,

Guessing pauses,

Thinking over every sentence…

Yes, I have read your letter.

But I haven’t read you, yet.

Yellow Socks (a mere study)
Striped and dotted
old and smelly
bright neon yellow socks
to a new dimension
they fly me
a universe
where i step on clouds
and wish on rocks
and build my house
with cotton blocks

Embossed

Black behind silver:

Let light reflect its wonder

Casting shadows on the wall.

To the darkness I have come from

does my brilliance belong.

It was fun making this. Fun, but hard. And tiring.

Probably why I never attempted doing something like this in undergrad.

I need to practice more.

Life, So Far

A lonely dog in the house
Non-stop clicking of the mouse.
Television on for hours
The sound of passing cars.

Tik-tak-a-tik
Type a few words then, delete
Blow some smoke on the screen
Try to say what you mean.

Scattered books on the sticky floor
The bang of closing doors
A neighbor sweeps. “Tsss, tsss.”
Make a list of things you miss.

Through the windows, sunlight creeps.
The cold in your feet goes up to your knees
And your fingers so you drink something hot.
Believe the cold will leave you (though it will not).

Up in an apartment
In a neighborhood so quiet,
Creaking doors become your friends
Ringing silence, your bed.

Lean back and rest your heavy shoulders
Flashback to a decade before
Before this silence, before the cold
Before you became twenty-two years old.

So cool. I could only dream of doing this. (The video and of course, the travelling)

What Traveling Around the World Looks Like in 1 Minute

Rick, Tim and Andrew, three ordinary guys, decided to take a trip of a lifetime: 11 countries in 44 days. 18 flights and 38,000 miles later they have three 1-minute videos showing what life is like around the world.

They recorded everything off two cameras and ended up with over a terabyte of footage which they cut, mixed and matched into an awesomely seamless blend of every notable place they’ve been.

They broke down their trip into three parts: Move, which shows them walking around, Eat, which shows the delectable food they ate, and Learn, which shows all the amazing things they did.
